Change of Subject readers have got it going on. They called six key races to particularly high degree of accuracy and got the slam dunk bonus question right, that the Democrats would take control of the U.S. House.
Our top prognosticator, Thomas Cynor of Woodstock (pictured), called the winning percentage in three of the races right on the nose and correctly forecast the dimension (though not the exact yet still unknown number) of the Democratic advantage in the next Congress.Cynor, 38, is an attorney for McHenry County and is on the executive board of the McHenry County Democratic Party.
A rundown comparing the actual result to the average prediction of Change of Subject readers to Cynor’s prediction. Exactly accurate predictions in red:

for Democrats 25-45 7 12So, Mr. Cynor, can you tell me what’s going to happen to Tribune Company?
(Note, my original headline on this item referred to The Amazing Kreskin. One of my editors, who is younger than I am but not by that much, was baffled by the reference to the famed “mentalist” of the 1970s who, apparently, is still out there forecasting. But since I didn’t want to sow confusion and couldn’t think of a better known putative psychic, I changed the headline. Whose name should I have used?)
