  • Honest leadership and open government

    • I promise to end the culture of corruption and restore an office as good as the people it serves.

    • Bring the State’s Attorney’s Office and the State’s Attorney in compliance with the County and State ethics codes.
    • End the illegal practice of subsidizing political campaigns with public funds.
    • Ensure strict enforcement of Illinois Election Code, Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act.
    • Put an end to the pay to play politics of the State’s Attorney’s office by refusing county contractor’s “political” contributions. And draft and support a county wide ordinance prohibiting the continued and rampant practice of these same contractor’s buying influence with county board members and other countywide officials.


  • Real security at Home and through-out the County

    • I promise to proactively focus the prosecutorial powers of the office not only on the sensational news matters of the moment, but the important legal issues which our county residents face day in and day out.

    • Establish a special prosecutorial task force to forcefully and rapidly move against the growing crimes of identity theft, cyber staking and consumer fraud, and to better assist the victims of those crimes.
    • Establish within the first year of office a deferred prosecution program for non-violent offenders, to re-direct resources of the office to immediate threats of criminal violence and public harm.


  • A State’s Attorney’s Office that works for everyone.

    • I promise to ensure the best of all legal services not only to county officials but also the residents they are meant to serve.

    • Join other proactive National, State and Local agencies in providing child support collection services to all residents of the county.
    • Provide dedicated continuous legal services to local law enforcement and county officials twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and to designate a specific staff attorney as local law enforcement liaison.
    • Provide regular public access to office attorneys to take criminal complaints, criticisms or information on the workings of the office on behalf of the residents of McHenry County and to designate a specific staff attorney as public liaison.
